Hi guys!

The last Leeds meet-up raised £50 for Sing it for Japan, which we’re extremely proud of! Thank you so much to everyone who came along and contributed!

Plans for the next meet-up will probably start over the next few weeks. Myself and @MCRmyNorthUK have had a lot of requests for something similar to the MCRmy party that happened in London. That would be fantastic, but we’d obviously have to charge for entry to cover the price of everything, and we’d have to have a guaranteed number of people coming. We know that a lot of you don’t have your own income and need parental permission, so we understand that this might not be convenient for everyone.

It would also take a fair bit of planning, and whilst I wouldn’t mind that if I had some spare time I’m at University at the moment which takes up the large majority of my time! If you have any ideas or suggestions for the next meet-up, or you’re an extremely rich MCR fan that would like to pay for an awesome venue and party then get in touch ;)

One suggestion that’s been made is collaborating with other Northern Rmys to create one big MCR meet-up in the North. Again, this would be amazing and I’d be open to suggestions about it, and would like to hear what other Northern Rmys think!

The meet-ups are you for guys to spend time with other fans and make new friends, so your say is the most important thing!

As we haven’t had much of a response on attending a Halloween event, me and MCRmyNorthUK have decided we’re just going to have a regular Leeds city centre meet-up so everyone can come!

This will be on Saturday 29th October, meeting at 12.30 in The Light. If anyone doesn’t know where this is let me know and I can explain, or send someone on the day to meet you! Wear your best MCR outfits, and feel free to bring something along to celebrate Frank’s birthday! 

We want to do a raffle/ bake sale to raise some money for Sing It For Japan, if anyone has any spare merch or posters etc to raffle off or could make some MCR related food to sell then we’d be extremely grateful and you’d be helping a great cause.

Me and MCRmyNorthUK will be bringing along Frank and Killjoy cupcakes to sell, a homemade killjoy bag and a few copies of The Umbrella Academy to raffle off, plus anything else we can find/ make!

Let either me or MCRmyNorthUK on Twitter to let us know if you’re coming and if you plan on bringing anything for the raffle so we can get ideas of numbers.

So, people have been asking me when the next Leeds meet-up is. Me and @MCRmyNorthUK had a discussion, and decided it’d be cool to attend an already organised event around Halloween, so we can all go as crazy as possible with costumes and celebrate Frank’s birthday! Plus our past meet-ups have been picnics of sorts in Leeds City Centre, and mid October might not be the best time to be sitting around outside!

A few of you suggested throwing our own party, which would be AMAZING but impossible to organise in such a short time. We’re looking at organising one in the future, but we’d need a lot of you to guarantee that you’d come because it’d take a lot of time and money on our part, so that’s something we can discuss with those of you who attend the next meet-up.

We took a look at pre-organised events that would be easy enough for everyone to get to, and we want you all to vote on which ones you like the look of!

We want to pick the one people most like the look of, but also the one that people can actually, because it’s not a meet-up without a ton of MCRmy!
